Functional medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness. Once we determine the underlying cause and hidden factors we walk our patients through the healing process with weekly phone calls making sure that they are getting results and headed in the right direction. This allows us to make changes to our treatment protocol as necessary. We provide a deep health history and use advanced laboratory tests to determine the underlying hidden causes of disease.
